• 1. Surface Preparation & Pre-Pressing Your UV-DTF Sticker

  Surface Preparation: Before applying your UV-DTF sticker, make sure the surface is properly cleaned. You can use a mixture of soap and water or a 50/50 blend of rubbing alcohol and water. While the sticker will still adhere without cleaning, a spotless surface ensures the best bond and enhances the sticker’s durability, especially if exposed to outdoor conditions or regular use.

  Pre-Pressing: After trimming your sticker, place it design-side down with the white backing facing you. Using a squeegee or a similar tool, apply firm pressure across the entire sticker 2-4 times. Pay special attention to any small or delicate details, like fine lines or text, to ensure they’re firmly attached to the clear transfer sheet.

• 2. Removing the Clear Transfer Sheet

  Carefully separate the clear transfer sheet from the white backing by creating a small tear at the edge. Slowly peel away the clear sheet while ensuring the design lifts cleanly off the backing. For more intricate designs with fine details, take your time peeling—if parts of the design don’t transfer, press the sheet back down, apply more pressure with the squeegee, and try peeling from a different corner.

• 3. Applying the Sticker to Your Surface

  Aligning the Design: For smaller stickers (around 4 inches or less), position and place the design in one smooth motion. If you're working with larger stickers (6 inches or more), it’s easier to start from one edge and gradually smooth it down to avoid bubbles or wrinkles. This method ensures better control and a clean finish.

  Pro Tip: Leave a small corner of the transfer sheet unpressed to make peeling it off easier after application.

• 4. Final Steps for a Flawless Transfer

  Once the sticker is in place, use your squeegee to firmly press it down, going over the entire surface 2-4 times. Slowly peel back the clear transfer sheet, keeping an eye on the design to ensure it sticks to the surface. If any part of the sticker starts to lift, press it back down, re-squeegee, and peel again from a different angle for the best results.

  Care Instructions: While UV DTF is incredibly durable, to ensure longevity we recommend avoiding dishwashers and microwaves whenever possible. Handwashing will help maintain the quality and adherence of the transfer for years to come. UV DTF will hold up well to wear and tear, but be aware that a hard drop or tough scratch may still cause damage to the transfer.

• Image Requirements: Use images with a minimum of 300 dpi in PNG, SVG, or JPEG format.
• Image Quality Caution: Enlarging a 300dpi image may result in pixelation. Be cautious of size changes.
• Color Conversion Note: Color shifts may occur when converting to CMYK for DTF printing.
• Image Preparation: Do not mirror images. Use transparent or no backgrounds unless the background is part of the design.
